Vlaardingen is a city and municipality on the Nieuwe Maas in the Rijnmond area, in the Dutch province of South Holland. The municipality is part of the Stadsregio Rotterdam and the Metropolitan Region Rotterdam-The Hague partnership. Vlaardingen is traditionally a fishing town famous for its herring, a historic town with many archaeological finds and the home base of b-creative!
